Certified medical assistant Kim Hall says she deals with new innovations every day.
Many of them ultimately are busts — Hall is a balloon designer or more accurately a balloon sculptor.
But the mother of three, who is in her third year of making balloon designs, says her favorite thing about the job is “to take … a brainstorm and to actively put it together” to create something special — anything from Olympic gymnasts to balloon dresses.
The operator of Kreative Moments admits she would probably make more money in the medical field, but she said she can’t imagine anything much more rewarding than what she does.
“I have loved being around kids since high school,” she said. “I worked with underprivileged kids while in high school. I’m able to see kids smile in this business. It’s the best payment you can have, making kids smile.”
The Lee High School graduate recently joined the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce and showed off some of her work at a function. The result was some quick business, she said. Because once people see her work, they are impressed at her creativity.
As football season approaches, Hall has appropriately developed an Aubie and Big Al using balloons and ½-inch metal pieces that act as frames. And it’s all not just for the kids.
She recently provided some color and joy for a man’s 90th birthday.
Hall can be reached at 233-4318 or through Facebook.
