“”There is No Place Like Home”

The Made in DeKalb initiative was established in 2012 for the three-fold purpose of:

• Recognizing all the great products that are made in DeKalb County;
• Connecting DeKalb County companies for the purpose of establishing new business-to-business relationships;
• Promoting manufacturing and careers in manufacturing to the public, including high school students;

We have expanded to include Agriculture, Tourism/Hospitality, Construction/Engineering, Transportation/Logistics/Warehousing, and Healthcare.

The annual Made in DeKalb Expo is an opportunity for you to;

• Meet representatives from local industry to learn what products they make
• Learn what job opportunities are available
• Talk with representatives from education on what training classes are available
• Network with industry representatives to find out why they feel “There is no Place like Home” when locating or growing their business in DeKalb County.

Meet with representative from the Alabama Department of Commerce, Small Business Administration, Small Business Development Center-UAH, Women’s Business Center of North Alabama, USDA, Fort Payne Career Center and others to answer questions you have in regards to your business or starting a new business.
