Made in Rural America Regional Forum

You are cordially invited to participate in the White House Rural Council’s Made in Rural America Regional Forum to discuss opportunities for rural economic growth through international trade and investment strategies.  This forum is designed to help business and community leaders from rural areas connect with tools and resources to find new customers abroad for locally-made products and to prepare for attracting investments from abroad.  Participants will also be able to meet one-on-one with representatives from federal and state organizations about hands-on assistance available for rural areas. This meeting is hosted by the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) and the Delta Regional Authority (DRA), in cooperation with the Alabama Department of Commerce, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Birmingham Business Alliance, the University of Alabama International Trade Center and the Alabama SBDC Network.

There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is required no later than August 14.  Registration is available online at: http://www.arc.gov/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=475.

A limited number of hotel rooms are available at the Wynfrey Hotel, under a room block for the “White House Rural Forum”.  Breakfast and lunch will be provided.   For more information and the agenda, please contact the ARC at: MadeInRuralAmerica@arc.gov.

We are proud to support the White House Rural Council’s Made in Rural America Regional Forum on Monday, August 18, 2014.
