Preparing You for the Global Market
The International Trade Leadership Series features four half-day sessions covering the foundations of international trade. Upon completion, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in a globally competitive marketplace. An official International Trade Training Certificate from the U.S. Department of Commerce will be presented at the end of the series to any individual that completes all four sessions.
- All sessions will be led by industry and government experts
- The series is designed for new-to-export and established companies.
- All sessions will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and will include lunch and materials.
International Finance & Export Insurance
Getting paid is what it’s all about! This session will provide an overview of the role of banking in international trade, including the primary methods of payment. There will also be an introduction to financial tools offered by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank). Finally, export credit insurance will be discussed.
