Taking Advantage of Regional Trade Agreements in the Asia-Pacific Region: A Conversation with Patrick B. Fazzone
As U.S. companies scour the globe for customers with money to spend, the Asia-Pacific region stands out. Two billion Asians joined the middle class in the last twenty years, and another 1.2 billion are expected to do so by 2020. According to the IMF, the world economy will grow by $21.6 trillion over the next five years, and nearly half of that growth will be in Asia.
This educational session will touch on proven benefits of trade deals like the AUSFTA, look at what the prospective benefits of a TPP agreement would be and provide an update on other trade deals that are progressing or have been concluded such as Australia-Japan, Australia-China and RCEP (ASEAN + Japan, China, Korea and Australia). We will look at case studies of companies that have positioned themselves to take advantage of the network of trade deals that have emerged.
