6 Alabama companies win U.S. Chamber’s 2016 Blue Ribbon awards

Several companies from north and central Alabama will be honored in Washington, D.C., this summer as winners of the 2016 DREAM BIG Blue Ribbon Awards.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Sam’s Club, announced it has selected 100 Blue Ribbon recipients. Six of those companies are from Alabama.

Each winner will be recognized June 13-15 at the 12th-annual America’s Small Business Summit, where one finalist will take home the DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year title and a $10,000 prize.

The following Alabama companies are among the winners:

  • LEAN Frog Business Solutions, Huntsville
  • nLogic, Huntsville
  • PROJECTXYZ, Huntsville
  • Geeks and Nerds (GaN) Corporation, Huntsville
  • Gipson’s Tire Pros, Prattville
  • Wright’s Market, Opelika

A “record number” of companies across the U.S. applied for the awards. Each candidate was judged in strategic planning, employee development, customer service and community involvement.

GaN Corporation also made the 2015 Blue Ribbon list, which is available here.
