Registration for the third round of Alabama Launchpad’s investment program for early-stage start-ups is underway.
Startups interested in seeking “proof of commercial viability funding” can register by visiting alabamalaunchpad.com. Those selected to participate will be in the running to receive a share of $100,000 in investment funding.
Applications are accepted until Dec. 1.
Anyone interested in the third round must submit an application and a $150 non-refundable application fee. A webinar is set for Nov. 12 to answer questions from aspiring entrepreneurs on how to apply.
Applicants accepted will be announced on Dec. 19, and selected startups will make their first business pitches before a judge panel on Jan. 24.
Funding will be awarded based on a promising startup’s financial needs and the marketability of the venture, not competition against another team. The purpose of the Alabama Launchpad program is to promote and reward high-growth, innovative ventures that have the potential to create high-wage jobs in Alabama.
