BIRMINGHAM, AL – Alabama Governor Robert Bentley signed a proclamation in Montgomery declaring the week of June 17 through June 21, 2013 as Small Business Week in Alabama. In the proclamation, Governor Bentley recognized the valuable contribution Alabama’s small businesses make to the state’s economy. Alabama has over 380,000 small businesses employing over 700,000 employees in the state.

The proclamation coincides with National Small Business Week which salutes America’s small businesses and recognizes outstanding businesses and business owners for their entrepreneurial endeavors.
