Huntsville Chamber to Kick Off Small Business Week with ‘I Shop Local’ Campaign

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – “I Shop Local” buttons will be distributed Wednesday in support of area merchants during the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County’s kick off of National Small Business Week.

The “I Shop Local” campaign was started to encourage local residents to spend dollars in Huntsville and Madison County, further creating and retaining jobs and generating more tax revenue for the city and county.

Each year, small businesses employ more than half of the U.S. workforce and account for two of three new jobs, according to the Small Business Administration.
