Innovation Depot Opens Coworking Space for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

The Innovation Depot has opened a new coworking space for aspiring entrepreneurs that don’t have the time or resources for a long-term lease at Birmingham’s business incubator.

Dubbed Ignite at Innovation Depot, the coworking space consists of eight work stations that are available to rent Monday through Friday for $300 per month as long as the entrepreneur needs the space.

“Ignite is for people who want to be entrepreneurs that don’t want to commit to a long-term lease but need a place to work,” said Innovation Depot CEO Devon Laney. “It’s like a feeder to flesh out ideas and to develop business models and prototypes.”

Laney said there are three tenants occupying the space now and there has been a lot of early interest so far. He says there will be the option to expand for more work stations if the demand calls for it.
