The Alabama Department of Commerce’s Office of International Trade works closely with its allies to help Alabama’s small and medium-sized companies advance their goals of increasing exports of their goods and services to international markets. Helping Alabama companies expand their international sales serves to create jobs and economic prosperity here at home. Trade missions and other trade events focus on Alabama’s top trading partners and on promising markets around the globe.

Alabama’s Trade Mission FIDAE International Air Show

April 9-14, 2024
The International Air and Space Fair, FIDAE, is the foremost aerospace, defense and security exhibition of Latin America.
Alabama will lead a trade mission delegation to Santiago, Chile, and host a “Made in Alabama” exhibition booth for Alabama small and mid-sized businesses to participate in and showcase their goods and services.
Southeast U.S.-Canadian Provinces Annual Meeting & Business Matchmaking

The Southeast U.S.-Canadian Provinces (SEUS-CP) Alliance was established in 2007 to enhance trade and investment promote business partnerships and encourage technological exchanges between the member states and Canadian provinces. The annual meeting reinforces the importance of the long-standing U.S.-Canadian relationship and expands commercial opportunities in underdeveloped sectors and markets through new partnerships and business-to-business matchmaking.
Alabama will lead a delegation of businesses to Biloxi, Mississippi for Canadian business development opportunities.
Southeast Asia Trade Mission

Export Alabama will work with the U.S. Commercial Service – Alabama to lead a multi-industry trade mission to Southeast Asia. The mission will provide critical market information and will help participants establish business and government contacts specific to each company’s international business objectives. Mission participants will benefit from in-country briefings and networking opportunities and work with the U.S. & Foreign Commercial Service to establish a business meeting schedule.
Southeast U.S.-Japan Joint Annual Meeting

Established in 1975, the Southeast U.S./Japan Association (SEUS-Japan) promotes trade, investment, understanding and friendship between Japan and seven member states of the Southeastern U.S., including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. Every year, the SEUS- Japan Joint Meeting program offers Alabama delegates an opportunity to meet with top government and business leaders from Japan and other member states.
Alabama will lead a delegation of elected officials, economic developers and businesses to explore Japanese business development opportunities.

MEDICA is the largest event for the medical industry worldwide, with several thousand exhibitors from 60+ nations. In Düsseldorf, you can expect an extensive exhibition and sophisticated program, which together represent the complete spectrum of innovations for outpatient and clinical care. Focus areas include imaging and diagnostics/medical equipment and devices; laboratory equipment; diagnostic tests; physiotherapy/orthopedic technology; disposables and consumables; IT systems and IT solutions; and medical services and publishing products.
