HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – Through Friday, entrepreneurs across the U.S. and Alabama will celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Small Business Week. Festivities honoring the five-day event kicked off in Huntsville last Wednesday when the Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County announced its “I Shop Local” campaign.
The Huntsville Times and AL.com talked with four new Huntsville startups this week about why they took a risk by opening their own businesses, the challenges they have faced since launching and what advice they have for aspiring entrepreneurs considering a similar move.
