PARIS, France — Alabama Governor Robert Bentley and his counterparts from Mississippi and Florida conferred today at a reception on the Seine River sponsored by the Aerospace Alliance, an organization created to advance the region’s involvement in the aerospace and aviation sector.

Bentley and Florida Governor Rick Scott and Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant have traveled to France to participate in the Paris Air Show, a venue for government officials to develop relationships with companies within the sector that could be looking at expansion opportunities. The trip is especially important for Alabama officials hoping to capitalize on the decision by Airbus to establish a final assembly line for A320 airliners at Mobile’s Brookley Aeroplex.

The Aerospace Alliance says its mission is to market the Southeast U.S. as a world-class aerospace, aviation manufacturing and commercial space corridor. Louisiana also is a member.

Members of the states’ Congressional delegations also attended today’s reception in Paris.

Below is a gallery of photos from the event, as well as a breakfast event held for Team Alabama at the Marriott Paris-Rive Gauche Hotel.
